About Julie Bartholomew, MD
Dr. Julie is a retired physician, lifelong inventor, artist, trauma-informed mindfulness meditation educator, and former wellness executive who authored over 120 patent filings, with more than 85 patents granted globally in the fields of personalized beauty, health, and wellness. As the founder and CEO of IMX Cosmetics, she was an early pioneer in AI-driven formulation and personalization, developing technologies that empowered individuals to tailor their wellness rituals long before it became industry standard.
Her innovations, which have touched millions, were guided by a commitment to making complex technologies accessible, human-centered, and deeply personal. Following the pandemic, Dr. Julie pivoted from product innovation to trauma-informed mental wellness leadership, launching Life Raft, a nervous system support initiative for educators, healthcare providers, and students, especially in rural communities where resources were limited and burnout widespread.
She holds a Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University, with emphases in psychology and sociology. She completed her advanced training at the Sauler Institute of Tattooing and Jody Stoski Paramedical Academy, and holds certifications in specialized medical tattooing techniques.
Blending her lifelong love of painting, a deep commitment to holistic nervous system care, and decades of innovation, Dr. Julie
now brings her gifts to the sacred artistry of restorative medical tattooing. Nestled in a luxury spa-setting in Winter Park, Florida, With Love, Dr. Julie | MD Medical Artistry was founded by Dr. Julie, where she offers 3D hyperrealistic areola and nipple tattooing for breast cancer survivors, as well as scar refinement and camouflage for post-surgical sites and other skin traumas. These offerings transcend aesthetic restoration, creating regenerative, sensory-rich experiences that acknowledge the emotional and physiological impact of breast cancer, especially the often-unspoken trauma stored in the nervous system. To complement her restorative tattoo work, Dr. Julie also offers Relaxation Immersions, spa-like therapeutic experiences designed to nourish the nervous system and foster emotional well-being throughout the cancer treatment process. Whether in a clinical setting, at home, or in-studio, these gentle sessions are attuned to the body’s need for safety, softness, and replenishment.
